Letter Writing

As mentioned in the Effective Activism Guide, the first step in correcting a church/state violation is often to simply contact the decision maker personally. If that person is evasive or refuses to meet or speak with you, write a letter of complaint. When sending letters to corporations or government entities, always be sure to send them certified mail with return receipt. This far reduces the chance that your letter will be ignored. It shows the recipient that you take the matter seriously and that you are documenting the correspondence.
