Restore the Pledge

The current Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. flag is a clear government endorsement of theism. But it wasn't always so. The Pledge was originally written as "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all." It should be restored to its original form.

• Until it is, do not recite the pledge at all or only the original form.

• Support efforts to restore the pledge.

The U.S. House of Reps. passed a bill in 2006 to prohibit U.S. courts from changing the Pledge which goes far beyond their powers. Lukily it died due to the Senate's not taking it up.
